FCC Foundation – Women’s Center: is requesting $19,556.10 for a program called Allied Health Academy to assist women in public housing to become self-sufficient by helping them prepare for and obtain access to training in high demand allied health fields.
Funds will be used to pay for two separate projects:
1). course development and instructor salaries, and
2). tuition, books and ancillary expenses for 12 women to participate in the curriculum.
ACTION: The grants committee recommends funding $5000 towards the first project of course development and instructor salaries.
